Project Partner Spotlight: MAGNA Heavy Stamping

In the Additive for Mobility (A4M) project, MAGNA brings extensive industrial experience in production as well as many years of expertise in research and development.

A key focus is on developing solutions for the automated repair of defective stamping dies. Currently, this rework is primarily done manually and is therefore time-consuming and costly. The goal is to make these processes more efficient, reproducible, and scalable through the use of additive and digital technologies.

By reducing processing times and costs and minimizing scrap, the project aims to achieve sustainable improvements in production.

“The project is not only technically interesting but also holds great economic potential. The collaboration—especially with TU Wien—is excellent. It is a pleasure for me to work on this project!” Markus Zwickl, Project Manager for Research and Development
