Project Partner Spotlight: TEST‑FUCHS Aerospace Systems GmbH
In the Additive for Mobility (A4M) project, TEST-FUCHS —as an industry partner—evaluates the developed manufacturing technologies in terms of their suitability for more sustainable production of aerospace components. The company contributes comprehensive expertise across the entire value chain, from design and manufacturing to the testing and qualification of complex systems.
A key use case in the project is the additive manufacturing of components for hydrogen valves used under cryogenic conditions. These components are tested and compared with conventionally manufactured components to realistically assess the potential of additive processes for safety-critical applications.
The goal is to identify sustainable manufacturing technologies that can be used in the aviation industry in the long term with reliable processes and are ready for series production. The aim is to develop functional and validated components that demonstrate the concrete added value of additive manufacturing.
