Project Partner Spotlight: igm Robotersysteme AG

In the Additive for Mobility (A4M) project, igm contributes its extensive expertise in welding automation and additive manufacturing—particularly in wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM)—to the consortium.

A key focus is on evaluating and further developing the process chain developed in the project. In this context, igm is working closely with Fill, particularly within Work Package 5. The focus is on evaluating the process chain using ModulWorks software and further developing CAM-in-the-loop approaches to optimize automated manufacturing processes.

The goal of the collaboration is to further expand expertise in the field of WAAM and to sustainably increase the level of automation in additive manufacturing processes. By combining robotics, intelligent process control, and additive manufacturing, the project aims to create efficient, industrial-scale solutions for future applications.

The A4M consortium is pleased to have igm Robotersysteme AG on board as an experienced partner in the field of welding and automation technologies.
