The Additive for Mobility (A4M) project was represented on-site alongside its partners to discuss current developments and gather new ideas for future project work. The Institute of Manufacturing Technology (IFT) at TU Wien presented a technical talk on the topic of “Automated Component Repair with Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM).”

During a panel discussion, the potential of WAAM for repairing logistics components was highlighted in particular. The approaches presented are based on results from the FFG-funded FORTE project 2ARMYII and are being adapted for applications in the mobility sector within the A4M project.
