Project Partner Spotlight: Global Hydro Energy
In the Additive for Mobility (A4M) project, Global Hydro brings extensive experience in the manufacturing of complex turbine components. A key contribution to the project is the development and implementation of a demonstrator in the form of a Francis impeller with a hybrid design. This combines WAAM-based additive manufacturing with conventional processes to efficiently produce complex geometries. In addition, Global Hydro is working on automated path planning, build strategies, and core CAM functions.
The goal is to drive innovation in hybrid manufacturing technologies and develop concrete technical solutions that can be directly integrated into industrial production processes. This is intended to increase efficiency and competitiveness while reducing CO₂ emissions.
“We are very pleased to be part of this project, as we have successfully collaborated with the IFT and the project partners in the past and see great potential in the project’s results.”
